    1. Loving Liz follows Marty Jamison, a Broadway star who is about to start a new one woman show. A show she is beginning to think may be a mistake. An unexpected meeting with Liz Chandler, an author she admires, just may bring the help she needs. Of course, her instant attraction to Liz is enough to make her giddy with anticipation. Thus starts a roller coaster ride through getting to know each other, getting the production together and dealing with young, up and coming star wanna be, Felice Tate. [...]

    2. One thing that Bobbi Marolt does very well is to "personalize" the romance and make it something that could only happen between these two characters. I noticed that in "Between the Lines" too. You will never guess what Liz brings to their first date instead of flowers A few of Marty's issues are overcome a bit too fast, but it's still an entertaining and good read. I also appreciated the clean POV and the fact that, despite their attraction, the characters don't jump into bed.

    3. Is it allowed to call a book *adorable*? Bobbi Marolt's "Loving Liz" is adorable, in every respect. It's superbly written, the characters are adorable, the humour is witty and it's about one of the things I've always loved - the threatre!!IMHO Bobbi Marolt's novels get better one by one, and I love all three of them!

    4. Extremely well-written and delightfully witty, Loving Liz is the book you give to someone who says good lesfic just cannot be done. This is the kind of novel that puts 80% of others in its genre to shame! If you love music, or Broadway to be more specific, you'll be even more thrilled. Sexy and sensible, Bobbi Marolt's fiction works best because it knows all good romance fiction is based largely on timing and a couple knowing that waiting for the big event (or that special first night) is not on [...]

    5. Its nice to come across a lesbian love story where the leading characters are in their 40's, not something you see very often. I wanted to like the story more than I did, but it was a fairly easy to read romance. Although I did almost quit reading when Liz came up with the "I'm straight, lets be friends" angle that not a day later turned into "I've been lusting after you for over 20 years, despite being married to a man". A lot of coincidences take place and issues seem to only require a convers [...]

    6. I liked this book well enough, but what sticks in my mind most is how poorly edited it was. The point of view in many conversations was so convoluted that many times I was pulled completely out of the story for having to try to figure out who was saying what to whom. I liked that the characters were older, and the characters were interesting, as was the story. It was a good enough story for me to be willing to finish it, but not one I would recommend.

    7. Not great, but not awful. Instead, it's filled with heaps of dialogue that had no "voice" and is trying too hard to be clever. Not a fan of that type of writing style as it's exhausting trying to keep figuring out who is saying what and then grimacing over the unnatural feel of nearly every dialogue exchange.

    8. 3.5 starsI liked Liz but I feel that there should have been more. The problem wasn't that "deep" as well as the solution. But it was still a nice, light read.
