    1. After I finishedJust a bit Ruthless, I needed to read this one immediately because I’m quite curious about Vlad the badass and I was also hoping to get more glimpses of Roman and Luke from book6. 😁 And boy boy, how pleased I was to get my wishes fulfilled. 😉 Vlad, the former head of the security of the Russian billionaire Roman Demidov, recently being fired for interfering in his personal life. Beat-up, angry and frustrated and to make things worse, when he went back home, he found out [...]

    2. *** 3.5 Stars ***Reading this series has been such a pleasure!I devoured one after the other this week. Can't wait for the next one in December!!!

    3. 4 stars! "Just a bit wicked" Is the story of Vlad/Sebastian, their struggle in their relationship, fighting their demons. Especially for Vlad, who is straight and has been brought up in a close minded environment. It was hard been in his head, his homophobic comments for gay people were so cruel. I hated it, and even though it didn't justify it, I understood it considering the way his uncle brain washed him and being brought up in a small closed minded village. Sebastian, was so different he was [...]

    4. ⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*Worst in the series*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱ Just like the last previous book(s), I felt indifferent. I didn't like security/bodyguard, Vlad (32), never felt any good emotions towards him. I didn't find him hot, or sexy or badass I just disliked him personally. And when it comes to the successful model, Sebastian Sumner (25) I felt nothing for him. I didn't like him, I didn't dislike him. He was just there. Overall, I was disappointed in this story, although I wasn't expecting anyth [...]

    5. Oh my, how to explain the huge blast I had reading thiswe are talking here about an almost a 4.5 stars so I guess the rating talks by itself. A Russian homophobic guy who has been cheated by his girlfriend with a British out and proud bisexual model. Two flames in the same bonfire. Two opposite men strongly attracted to each other. A complete wtf so enjoyable I couldn’t put it down. Tbh, the first interaction between the MCs is so ridiculous, I can’t even. But at the same time it has the sam [...]

    6. I enjoy these, but I feel like the formula is getting a bit tired, and perhaps Hazard should wrap it up and start something new One thing I noticed This isn't limited to just this book or author, and it's not really a criticism, just something that makes me wonder."He was drawn to this man like a bee to honey." Why do people say that? Bees make honey. They're drawn to flowers. Think on that.

    7. Update:So, I read it, and if you think that my expectations were too high for the actual book, then you are sadly mistaken, because this was AWESOME :DGod, Vlad and Sebastian's story was as incredible as I knew it would be. The tension, the heat, the angst, the EVERYTHING ! It was still less angsty than Luke and Roman's book, I admit, but no less good. The perfect balance of hot, romantic, sweet and heart warming, this book was immensely satisfying. It was inspiring to see Vlad's journey toward s [...]

    8. Let me get something straight. I read this series because of the sex and the weirdness. They are really hard to put down and I'm kind of disappointed that this story was almostrmal So yeah, one less star because of that.

    9. After reading the previous book and being introduced to homophobic Vlad, I was a bit hesitant to read this one. He was quite the asshole in book 6, and I didn't think his behavior would change any time soon.Turns out I was mostly right. His behavior did NOT change soonbut I did love reading his book and yesI even loved him !! Dare I say, he has even become one of my favorite characters in this seriester Tristan that is ;)I think one of the reasons I feel this way is because he did show so much [...]

    10. I usually love Alessandra Hazard's books, but I'm not a fan of this one. The writing was decent, though there were some typos that could have easily been spotted during the editing process. Overall, my biggest problem with it was that it lacked the emotional tug that her books usually carry. When I found out she was writing about Vlad, I was surprised. Vlad wasn't fleshed out in the previous book, so he was a character I easily dismissed as a plot device (which turned out to be to be the case, ac [...]

    11. Fuck me. This series is amazing. It is ALL THE THINGS. EVERY. ONE. OF. THEM.I love the straight to gay theme. It’s the woman in me that finds two men together so damn hot. I’d like to think that it just takes a little bit of convincing for someone to give in. My husband disagrees, but I haven’t given up hope yet. In JABW, we get the story of Vlad. Remember him? He’s Roman’s guard – the harsh brute who man-handled Luke in Just A Bit Ruthless. In JABW, Vlad returns home to discover his [...]

    12. I loved quite a few book in this series, but, for some reason, this one didn't click with me as much.I remember Vlad, the homophobic bodyguard from the previous book. I actually felt sorry for him then because he lost his job over helping Luke. Here he comes across as a man lost in oodles of bitter- and grumpiness. I could see that his terrible attitude, his vile behaviour and even some of his awfully short temper were caused by his inner struggle to figure out who he was. And he had some seriou [...]

    14. 4Illicit affair STARS“Some people grow up knowing nothing but hate toward.hing different. They don’t know how messed up some of their beliefs are. They simply don’t know any better. No sé ni como, pero me leí toda esta serie en una semana. Historias sencillas de leer, con un buen equilibrio de romance y erotismo. Cada libro tiene menos de 200 páginas, así que eso ayudo a que leyera los 7 libros tan rápido.Y si debo decir que este libro fue el más intenso, no tanto por la temática sex [...]

    15. Just a Bit Wicked is book 7 in the Straight Guys series, and I wasn't really sure what to expect when I read it was Vlad. He didn't seem very likable in the last book and I really didn't know much about him, but I'm really glad he got a story because I enjoyed this one. Although I could have done without the constant homophobic thoughts and the nasty gay slurs from Vlad. Not that this is an excuse for his behavior but learning about his childhood made so much sense to the whys of his actions. Th [...]

    16. 4.5 starsI was going to round it up to 5 stars, but I started re-reading #6 immediately after and I have to say I liked it best, so I had to give this one 4 stars though I enjoyed the heck out of it. Vlad is certainly no PC hero, he's homophobic and an ass for 70% of the book, but I ended up liking both him and the story anyway. Sebastian was yummy and extremely likable from the start, they had great chemistry together and despite the fact that realism was completely lacking, I had a great time [...]

    17. Anyone who has been following LGBT news in Russia would know that the reminiscence of Vlad's homophobic upbringing in this book is spot on and should therefore expect his initial introduction into the story to be filled with political incorrectness. The characters in this series are all left of center & that's what makes these books interesting.

    18. Okay while I was reading this story I was convinced that I would give it three stars because I absolutely loved the first four books of this series and while I was reading this one I knew that it didn't touch me in the same way those four had. But sometimes I really wonder how much this book would actually rate at if I wasn't comparing it to other books in the series, which admittedly are so good that they are at a whole new level at least for me. But I truly think this book deserves 4.5 Stars.I [...]

    19. 3 starsLots of angry sex for these two. Vlad is a seriously repressed gay man who lashes out homophobic slurs every time he can. At one point, I didn't want to hear one more thing coming out of his mouth. The insults and the "I'm not gay" speach got old soon.I understand that the author was probably trying to show us the inner struggle of someone who had grown up in a small farm town in Russia where homosexuality was the devil and where they had beat a boy to death for kissing another boy. Given [...]

    20. Another of the better ones in this seriesI'm a complete sucker for the enemies to lovers trope, throw in an overwhelming attraction to someone of the same sex when you're identifying as straight and I'm doubly hooked. We last saw Vlad when Roman fired him in Luke's story and he was an intriguing character back then, overtly homophobic but with the edge that made you wonder if it was a lot of self denial. Now we find out why he's like he is as he comes across Sebastian after his girlfriend cheats o [...]

    21. I liked this book, but the continuous homophobic slurs got old. I'm not really sure what Sebastian saw in Vlad either. I did eventually warm to him, but it took a while. Sebastian also was kind of an immature dick always trying to make Vlad jealous. Not my favorite of the series, but not my least favorite either. I was so glad to see updates on some of the prior couples, especially my favorites Roman and Luke (Just a Bit Ruthless). I am still a huge fan of this series and will continue to read t [...]

    22. Well, in my defense i'm totally crazy for this sagad really, the history is not that good but there's something in it that hits me in every place I want.Is funny, is sexy, the feelings are there and there's no mucho to ask for this book. Well a couple of more chapters would have been cool but for now I take what I can.

    23. I really liked the blurb of this story: Vlad, a homophobe Russian bodyguard learns that a bisexual English model slept with his girlfriend. He visits Sebastian in his hotel to teach him a lesson, however at the end he is the one to find out a few things about himself and he certainly doesn't like it Just the idea he might be gay is absolutely disturbing and just impossible Only after I started reading, I realized that I already read a book from this series: Roman & Luke's story, and it was t [...]

    24. This was book 7 in the"Straight Guy"series. "When it rains, it pours" I have always liked this saying and it was raining hard for Vlad after he was fired from his job as head of security by Roman in book 6 for setting Luke free he went home and found a used condom on his bedroom floor his girlfriend Nina had cheated on him. Turns out Nina cheated with Sebastian Sumner a successful English bi model after going to his hotel and beating him up Sebastian gives him a BJ that left Vlad feeling uncomfo [...]

    25. I didn't know how I was going to feel about this one going on in, some of the books in this series have declined for me over time but I have to say one thing about this book, it surprised me. It stayed true to its theme until the very end. There was no miraculous change of heart and completely 180's done. Vlad stayed true to himself. It's advertised that this book can be read as a standalone and I guess that's true, but if you don't know where Vlad is coming from it's hard to have any sympathy or [...]

    26. Not my thing.Glaring lack of consent right off the bat + constant!!! homophobia + 2 complete assholes (honestly, they both suck) + a whole ton of hate sex = 1 unhappy camperIdk, the author does warn us about the contents of the story, but I was hoping it would somehow all work out. Turned out to really not be my thing: I prefer fluffy romantic angst, and this was more .'dark' and unromantic. I have to mention that it has a "gay porno" vibe going on at some parts, meaning there were some cheesy l [...]

    27. I'm guessing lots of people will dislike Vlad for his blatant homophobia and lots of other things, but I'm glad the author didn't whitewash him. He was a jerk in the previous book, he was a jerk for most of this book, his issues didn't completely dissolve even in the end, and he wasn't automatically cured by a "magic dick". Overall, this was a highly enjoyable read. Not my favorite in the series, but I couldn't put it down and will certainly re-read it at some point. Now on to the waiting for bo [...]

    28. 4.5 stars for all Sebastian & Vlad parts.5 for all Roman and Luke partsWhile i LIKED reading S&V love story i super disliked how the author made them like less men ( dogs : loyal but still your animal ) in front of her previous book heroes . It was really stupid bc really it could be a wonderful book with wonderful heroes but yeah she have to ruin it with this stupid shit :)
